Event Horizon

On the edge of a Black Hole, the event horizon is a boundary beyond which information about events happening becomes inaccessible and thus unknowable. Humanity approaches such a threshold now, one where our very ability to see becomes shrouded in a convergence of dynamic forces that portend for humankind a future unlike anything that has come before. This podcast will explore how all humans alive today face both multiple simultaneous challenges posing extinction-level threats to our species' very survival, as well as unparalleled potential for truly transformational change.

    Interesting, but…
I have enjoyed this podcast for the last few months. Unfortunately today while listening I had a sense of the ick when Janis starts talking about how people just choose Cheetos and beer over being more evolved? It frankly smacks of a very privileged viewpoint and I would ask that both hosts maybe think about that before communicating disdain for a large part of a population that maybe didn’t have access to a certain education or avenues where they may have learned or were given tools about self awareness. I do believe there is something to that.

Thoughtful Balance of Perspectives & Support
I discovered Exo’s catalog of podcasts through my partner, who has been a listener for many moons. Exo’s Thoughtfulness prevails over the obnoxious hardliners in the community, especially where women are intentionally excluded or, just as importantly—forgotten. Event Horizon is a sturdy tree limb I note comfortably, intentionally lean on for guidance. It delivers cohesive support I integrate with my self development and intuitive understanding. What I appreciate most, upon discovering Event Horizon, is how the conversation provides full acknowledgment of feminine presence and contribution, as provided by Janis. Their balanced worldview is so clear in their conversation. Both the masculine and feminine are represented and encouraged to coexist in the multitude of dimensional frames. I recommended Event Horizon to Everyone, and hope the conversation continues to help us consciously evolve together. Thank you Exo and Janis!

Promising but Episodes Are Too Overstuffed!
In terms of the content and themes of this podcast, it’s right in my wheelhouse — UFO/UAP, consciousness, spirituality, etc. — but there are just too many topics stuffed into each episode! Case in point, Episode 4 was about how quantum theory, neuroscience research and the inner traditions of various world religions all support emerging ideas about the primary role of consciousness as the foundation of the “material” world. I have a decades-long interest in all those topics, but I nonetheless was having a tough time tracking the conversation (really, more like a dense lecture) as it jumped from Vedanta to Merton to retrocausality to Bernardo Kastrup and so on. This would have been better broken into a series of episodes, each with a more narrow focus, with “consciousness is primary” as the overall theme. It’s still a new podcast, so hoping they will do some course correction in future. The hosts are knowledgeable and insightful, and obviously have lots to share. Would also be nice if it was a little more conversational and informal.
