The Moon in Carolina Podcast, by Shelby Bundy, discusses life and personal growth through the lens of spirituality, astrology, and mythology. 

Shelby is the creatrix behind the brand Tamed Wild  and is a former Baptist turned Pagan. From filing for bankruptcy and meeting the repo man to living in a historical mansion full of ghosts,  Shelby shares her story with candid openness and honesty.  From retelling myths and folklore to discussing religion and the wheel of the year, The Moon in Carolina explores the sacred and the everyday in a way that is both relatable and engaging.

Shelby is a published author, archetypal astrologer, certified Jungian Coach, and a lover of tarot, history and myth. She has a BA Anthropology and is pursuing a Master's in Ancient Religions. She is a Cancer Sun, Leo Rising, and Libra Moon and lives in the woods of North Carolina.

Anxious for the next episode

I have binged all 36 released episodes in about 2 weeks and have loved every second. The storytelling is beautiful and well researched. I have also loved the interactions with the guests. I am sad that I will now have to wait for the next episode instead of going right into the next one.

Lore and enchantment

I love how much knowledge and information Shelby provides all while maintaining the mysterious of the folklore and myths she’s discussing. She’s able to fill you with details and yet keep the air of a secret. It’s like you’re being let in on something big and wonderful, some form of whimsy, but it’s not whimsy it’s real. Magical. And such a great story teller. Whether it’s from legend or discussing astrology she makes it feel like a mystical adventure. Thank you!

Informative, Transformative, Insightful

Shelby was a regular guest (co creator perhaps?) of another pod I loved and when she started her own, I was Over The Moon (ba-da-dum-tsss - pun nerd alert 🤓) Long time traveler of earth, cosmos, science and energetic based practices here and I always learn something, or feel compelled to journal, dive deeper, learn more. The lens of mythology is my current obsession, this pod came along at exactly the right time to further delve and discover . Shelby does a fantastic job of covering Astrology, Mythology, History and different ideas over time for newcomers and seasoned alike. Well done and thank you for sharing your gifts with the world! Learning a lot

I find this podcast interesting and well informed. It is easy to follow and I like that the episodes are shorter and to the point. I don’t like listening to podcasts with lots of giggling and unnecessary banter, and Shelby shares information clearly and in a calming voice. I am learning a lot and look forward to new episodes.

I love every single episode of the Moon in Carolina podcast. I absolutely love Shelby‘s stories and the style in which she brings information, humor, and a deeper understanding to every single episode. I’ve especially enjoyed every episode that shares about myths. Also, I learned so much about astrology whenever Shelby shares about it. A Simply Magical Podcast!

I’ve been a customer of Tamed Wild for a few years now and when I discovered that Shelby was going to be doing a podcast I knew that it was going to be awesome. She tells stories in a very calming and easy to listen to manner, very informative and insightful and really just takes it down to the basics and makes you feel good about practicing. I’m also a huge fan of the Magick and Alchemy podcast, these are excellent resources.

Wonderful podcast

I adore this podcast so much. It’s my little soothing, soulful treat while I take my walks. Shelby has such a soothing voice & brings so much knowledge & insight and is an absolute delight to listen to (The guests are also amazing ent ). I love hearing her life stories and her pathway from Christianity to/with Paganism & Magick. I think it’s helpful to others to see that it doesn’t have to be so black & white. Like talking to a good friend

My husband and I fell in love with Tamed Wild’s IG awhile back and came across their podcast Magick and Alchemy, which is an amaaazzzzing podcast full of history, mythology, and fascinating facts. I came across the Moon in Carolina after finding out that Shelby Bundy was the creator behind all of these incredible outlets. Hearing about her past and how hard she worked to live the magical life she lives today is truly inspiring. The amount of research and curating of material is always fascinating and engaging even for an ADHD mind like mine. I always walk away feeling more informed and curiouser than I was before. Thank you Shelby for creating such beautiful realms! You really are a goddess :)

I really enjoyed listening to this podcast. I love Shelby’s honesty and willingness to open up and share some of her life experiences. Including, the flawed ones. You can’t help but feel connected and relate to her as she expresses her own trials and triumphs. All while inspiring you with advice and tips to overcoming your own short fallings.
