Great show, taught me a lot of great resources about my new city. Love the restaurant, bar, and shopping recommendations in particular. Accessible hosts that are fun to listen to and have great takes. Knocked a star off for all the spam oprah podcast “features” (seriously, it feels like oprah pops up in my podcast queue every week cuz of this show).

They’ve got some good local commentary when it happens to be a non-political issue, but for the most part they are pushing the extremist religion of leftism.

I like this podcast. Ali does a great job and it’s fun to hear her chat with Emily. That being said, I understand you need members, but four separate membership pushes in a single episode is just too much. You have paid advertisers and other funding, so give people a break from the pushy pushes. Especially in this economy.

Love the hosts, love how invested they are in SLC, and love the range of topics. The theme song gets a bit grating. Otherwise excellent.

This podcast started out stronger. There was more substance and actual news. Now I feel it has shifted and is more of fluff. The political bias in the host(s) also seems to be stronger than it was at the beginning - we get it, we live in a ‘red state’ but not everything is an attack of progressives. And now that the feed also contains super annoying revenue-generating ‘podcasts you may like’ that just junk up my feed. i’ve also noticed the show is running longer in length. I also liked that it was a 15 to 20 minute podcast. Now it’s usually closer to 30 minutes. If I’m going to listen to a longer podcast, I’d rather listen to one with more substance. I may be to the point of no longer listening…

This is an amazing resource for local events, businesses, communities, and individuals who prefer to shop locally and patron locally owned establishments!

We are lucky to have City Cast in our lives.

I love that they’re not from Utah-and have an interest in the success of Salt Lake. A whole new perspective and the future of Utah. As I say “they” I don’t know everybody’s geographical history.

I started to listen to City Cast Salt Lake City because I travel and work with Utahans. I liked learning what’s going on in the community since I don’t live there. I listen to City Cast every day. Not being a native of Utah, I didn’t realize how diverse this state is, and this podcast helps me discover things about Utah I would have never know. As a bonus I also am able to understand what’s going on with our state legislature that’s important.

Love having this fun, daily resource that keeps me apprised or what's happening around my city and how people are thinking about it. They also do a fantastic job of sourcing guests -- bringing in diverse voices that engaged locally and have meaningful expertise. Highly recommend!

This podcast is my favorite way to stay informed on SLC. They discuss the best kind of news, which is relevant stories from our community, as well and keeping listeners up to date on politics and major issues.

Ali is very talented but the show has significant political bias. As a moderate with some leanings to either side I find the reporting off putting and I wish more nuanced subjects were discussed without such a “darn those republicans in Utah” rally cry.

Love listening each morning as I eat breakfast and prepare for the day. Short, curated episodes that keep me up-to-date on what’s going on in SLC and inform me on the quirks of the city that make us love living here.

I live about an hour’s drive from Salt Lake City, but I love this podcast. SLC is the capital and the cultural and historic heart of Utah. I’m there often enough to appreciate the suggestions about places and experiences available there, and there’s plenty of content here that is relevant regardless of where you live in this great state. And it’s fun!

It’s tough to not be impressed by CCSL - it covers succinctly a wide variety of issues and ideas that affect our town. Plus Ali V is a dream host - she’s engaging, funny, nuanced, and *sharp enough to hang with all sorts of guest experts* while breaking it down for people like me. Salt Lake is lucky to have such an on-point local program. Way way too cool 4 skool, listen, truss me. 5 1/2 stars

Big fan of this host as well as lead producer! The show is put together so well and incredibly informative. The tone is serious when necessary, and lighthearted/entertaining all at the right moments. Really glad I found this podcast! Haven’t stopped talking about it to people.

The majority of my podcasts provide me with information about national and international events and politics. It’s refreshing to take a break from that to hear about events in the Salt Lake area. Plus, the host is absolutely delightful to listen to!

Up First from NPR was usually first in my cue, but in the past few months, I’ve found myself wanting to greet the day w the thoughtful enthusiasm this show serves up.
