1decorfreakNatural at teaching home decorLove Dani’s practical and down-to-earth decorating advice. I listen to lots of podcasts and it’s not always easy for the host to convey the lessons without visuals but her teaching skills shine here! My biggest takeaways are: learn your aesthetic so that it guides all of your decisions, plan before spending a dime, and make changes that have the most impact (walls and floors). And of course there are lots more tips I’m storing in my head for reference. Looking forward to Dani’s insights in future episodes!
-

-
Charli JaneGreat advice!I enjoy listening to your podcast, and have used so many of your wonderful tips!
-
bcbsmnuserGood advice but repetitiveShe has good design tips, but I wish she would stop repeating herself and then make the episodes a lot shorter as a result. (E.g. “My list is quite lengthy. There are a lot of items on it.” It’s just one example but she does this a lot - saying one thing and then repeating again with a statement that makes the exact same point.)
-
AviatorbillLove her tips!I worked for an interior designer for 2.5 years. I learned a lot, but I love the tips and tricks Dani gives to make your home look and feel amazing on a budget! Definitely recommend this show!

FineGoodBetterA Stand-Out Podcast and Host!Dani’s podcast Fig and Farm is different in all the right ways. It’s so easy to be drawn in to today’s decorating and design podcasts and other social media that are shiny on the surface, offering captivating titles, lovely photos, and “can’t miss” design secrets, but it’s rare to find a podcast in which you leave feeling uplifted as a human being and inspired to make your space your own…and always without feeling like your ideas are unreachable or only meant for people with personal carpenters or a budget for luxury. Dani gives you practical tips without making you feel ridiculous for not already knowing them. She offers inspiration with an infectious “can do” attitude…all while keeping your heart light with her joy-filled laugh and easy banter. She helps you understand that decorating isn’t something you do to fit in with the rest of the world nor does it need to be urgent. She teaches you to allow yourself time and grace to put together a home that fits you and those you love. She’s a delight and you won’t want to miss an episode!
-
.bolandHighly RecommendDani’s the perfect blend of personal & professional! She’s committed to hearing our story & helping us pull together a cohesive space that is a perfect reflection of our family. I’ve learned so much from her podcasts, resources, & other services. They’re filled with meaningful & practical take-aways. Her warm personality, combined with her expertise, help take the stress out of home decorating. A joy to work with-so excited for all to come together!
-
fig & farm (at home)Great podSuper fun and enjoyable. Dani’s voice is so calming and her laugh infectious. Even if you aren’t that into decorating you will love this pod
-
KoiMoneyBeyond helpfulI have thoroughly enjoyed these podcast and am over halfway done. Very informative and broken down well to teach anyone how to decorate! My favorite tip I keep hearing over and over again when I’m shopping is not to buy anything until you know your aesthetic.
-
Jjunie2016Love it!We just bought our first house a year ago. I stumbled across this podcast and I have loved listening to it! This podcast offers great design tips and perspective on styling your home that you can actually use (and afford). I listen to it every time an episode drops
-
mcneillaI really like this!I don’t know how I came across Dani’s podcast, but I’m really enjoying it. She gives lots of good advice about planning and executing personal design. I don’t like how long and repetitive her intro and outro are - I skip them every time.

dmpz89It’s ok when she’s not trying to sell a $700 classI was the listener that made the comment that you made a episode about this week about the class and the $20 book. A lot of the things you teach are in this book that’s why I thought maybe you just read books and were using that as a skeleton for your course, because they are very similar (what you teach and may decor books). However, you made a lot of valid points in your podcast episode this week and how invaluable it is to have a one on one person helping you do your own house with you personally. I think the $700 could be spent better elsewhere furnishing a room but like you mentioned, some people aren’t good at decorating and I am and I’m able to easily understand the concepts in these books, and apply them to my house. For me personally my $700 would be better spent elsewhere, but I’m just one person. I guess I didn’t realize some people had that difficult of a time. However, as a professional, you have seen all kinds different things that I have not, so I can understand how this can be a valuable investment for people that did an excellent job Answering the question and making good points about why your Course is more valuable FOR SOME, while books are more valuable for others! 👍🏼❤️

tgrgjyfrdrgyihfeeethyjtreeGreat listen for design enthusiastsDani has valuable expertise and offers advice that is both actionable and inspirational. She is empathetic and kind while motivating us to “tell our stories” in our homes. She has a pleasant speaking voice, which I value in podcasts (I sometimes get annoyed if people squeal a lot or laugh too much at their own jokes 🤷♀️). I love that she goes into detail about things such as the flow of the piles of laundry in one episode, because it’s exactly these details that affect the function and therefore overall design of a room and of a home. Managing (or not) laundry is a huge part of the way we experience life in our homes! And it’s very specific to each family’s habits and available space. I recommended this podcast for inspiration to do approachable home design and organizing projects!

Lara RydDesigning a story-teller’s homeDani and I are totally on the same page when it comes to home-design: we love homes that are cozy, inviting, and reflect the stories of the families who live there. My husband and I recently bought our first (very old) house and it’s been a puzzle trying to figure out how to blend our style with its historic character. Dani’s podcasts have encouraged me to be creative (and thrifty!) with what we have, especially as we don’t yet have the money to do big renovations. Thanks for making it all seem possible, Dani!
-

Amy-E-VOn a budget? You’ve found the right podcast! This is the absolute BEST podcast if you are on a budget and just want the tips and tricks for obtaining a beautiful cozy space for you and your family! I have been listening for about three months, I have listened to all of the episodes multiple times, it is packed full of information (when she says you might want to grab a notebook and a pencil do it!) Dani has a way of bringing information to you, and also having it be a delightful time. Thank you Dani and keep the episodes coming😊
